What is the cheapest way to get a property video for a budget listing?

The cheapest ways to put video on a budget listing in the UK: phone video, photo slideshows, AI property films and videographers, with published prices.

The short answer

For a budget listing, the cheapest routes in cash are a phone video you film yourself or a photo slideshow service, from a few pounds a film. An AI property film costs a little more but adds camera movement, narration and music from the photos you already have, with no visit. A videographer, at an estimated £150 to £400 a listing in the UK, is rarely worth it for a budget listing. Compare total cost per listing, including staff time, not just the fee.

Key takeaways
  • A phone video has no cash cost but is paid for in agent time, and quality varies from agent to agent.
  • Photo slideshow services are the cheapest bought option: Elements Property lists video slideshows from £6.95 plus VAT.
  • AI property films add camera movement and, with some tools, narration and music, from the listing photos alone.
  • A UK videographer tour is estimated at £150 to £400 a listing, which budget listings rarely justify.
  • Judge each option on cost per listing including staff time and days to publish, not the fee alone.

A budget listing still benefits from video, but it rarely justifies a videographer. The good news is that there are now several ways to put a film on a cheaper property for a few pounds or a few tens of pounds, without a visit. This guide compares them on what you get, what they cost and the trade-offs, using each provider's own published prices, checked on 27 October 2026.

Echoflicks is one of the options below and is our product. We have kept its price separate from the others and linked every other provider's pricing page so you can check them yourself.

What are the options for a budget listing?

There are four realistic routes. Two cost almost nothing in cash but trade off quality or time; two cost more and do more of the work for you.

OptionWhat you getTurnaroundMain trade-off
Phone video you film yourselfA walkthrough filmed on site, edited in an appDepends on the agent's diaryAgent time, uneven quality, music licensing
Photo slideshow serviceYour photos in sequence with transitions, text and musicElements Property aims for 3 hoursNo camera movement or narration
AI property filmEach photo animated with camera movement; some tools add a script, narration and an original scoreFrom minutes to 24 hours, depending on the toolOnly shows what the photos show; shots must be checked
VideographerReal footage, drone and presenter if bookedDepends on booking, filming and editingHighest cost; a visit to book

Which is cheapest once you count staff time?

The fee is only part of the cost. A phone video has no invoice, but an agent might spend two or three hours filming, editing and publishing it, and that hour could have been a valuation. A bought slideshow or AI film takes minutes of staff time to order and review.

Work out each option as cash fee plus staff hours times a loaded hourly cost, plus travel and revisions, and note the days to publish. Our guide to what a property video really costs per listing sets out the formula with a worked example, and the property video cost calculator does the arithmetic for you.

How much do they cost?

Prices below are each provider's own, as published on 27 October 2026. UK providers mostly quote before VAT.

Phone video

No cash cost if you already have a smartphone, plus any editing app or music subscription. The real cost is agent time. Music bought for personal listening is not licensed for marketing, so use a properly licensed track; see music for real estate videos.

Elements Property (photo slideshow)

Elements Property lists a video slideshow at £6.95 plus VAT per video, with white-labelling at £2.00 plus VAT. It aims for a 3-hour turnaround, amendments are free, and new accounts get 3 free orders. It is the cheapest bought option here, but it is a slideshow: photos with transitions and music, not animated camera moves or narration.

KeyClip (AI property video)

KeyClip charges per clip. A standard photo-based template uses 1 clip per video; an AI cinematic video typically uses 5 to 10 clips. Plans run from £35 a month plus VAT for 20 clips, and pay-as-you-go packs from £9.99 plus VAT for 5 clips (£2.00 a clip). By its own figures, an AI cinematic video therefore uses roughly £7.50 to £20 of clips plus VAT. AI voiceovers are listed on the Professional plan and above, and the first video is free.

ListingMint (AI property film, made to order)

ListingMint charges £30 for the first film and £49 for each film after that, with no subscription, or £129 for three listings. It sends a preview within 24 hours, includes one revision and licensed music, and refunds the first film if you do not approve it. It says each scene is checked against its source photo.

Echoflicks (AI property film)

Echoflicks turns a listing link into a scripted film narrated in British English, with an original score and your agency's branding. A standard film is ready in about 30 minutes, and re-cuts are free, up to 10 per listing. Every film carries machine-readable AI metadata and, by default in the web studio, a visible AI-generated label.

Films cost from €14 each on a monthly plan, from €20 with packs and €30 for a single film (launch prices until 31 December 2026, VAT included). The agency's first two films are free, no card required, so you can try it on two of your own listings first: make your first two films free.

Videographer

A UK property video tour is estimated at around £150 to £400 per listing, based on a 2026 UK property media price guide, before staff time and travel. Get two or three local quotes, because property size, location and extras such as drone footage change the price.

Which should you choose for a budget listing?

Choose a phone video if an agent is already at the property, has the skill and the time, and the listing just needs something quick for social media.

Choose a slideshow service if the cheapest bought option matters most and you are happy without camera movement or narration.

Choose an AI property film if you want the listing to feel like a film rather than a slideshow, without a visit or an editing job, and you can spare a few minutes to check every shot against the photos. Compare the tools on what a finished film includes (narration, music, formats, revisions) as well as price.

Keep a videographer for listings that justify real footage, such as a view, a garden or a drone shot. Our triage guide to which listings deserve a film helps you draw that line.

Whatever you use, the film must not mislead buyers about the property. If it includes AI-generated views or edits, label them clearly; our guide to labelling AI property videos in the UK explains what the rules require.
